| We are here if and when you need us... The Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help organization with almost 600 chapters and four local chapters in the Northern Virginia region. The mission of the Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. We offer bereaved families a safe place for parents, grandparents, and siblings to meet and talk freely about your child/sibling/ grandchild and your grief issues. No one is required to speak, but non-judgmental listening is expected. A place of warmth and love where you will get and receive a hug to let you know we care. |
